Oh, I am so, so, so happy. We had our anatomy scan yesterday and our baby is doing so well, everything looked perfect. Finally at the end, the lady asked if we had any questions and I asked to know the sex. And she was very confident when she showed us and said, "It's a girl!"
I almost burst into tears. I have longed for a daughter all my life and I am so excited for Baby J to have a sister. My husband was happy too, though he said, "What am I going to do with a girl?" So I replied, "Beat up all her boyfriends." He felt a bit happier at that!
I "felt" that Baby J was a boy and it was amazing to meet him and have my instinct confirmed when he was born. But he was born last summer and this baby will be born mid-winter, so we wanted to know in order to get clothes etc. Well, I "felt" again that this baby would be a girl. First, I felt heaps sicker and also, this baby's kicks feel more dainty. Baby J was vigorous and very happy to let me know he was there right from around 14 weeks. I was so positive it was a girl, I am half way crocheting a pink, yellow and white blanket!
From now on, I'll be calling this baby Baby Girl because it's simple. We already know her name as it was the one we had picked for Baby J if he had been a boy. I love it, very classic.
Ah, so excited.
